Unemployed troops?
When I asked the question of where 600,000 troops for Afghanistan would come from, a friend of mine joked that the unemployment offices were a good place to start.
It’s a funny line, but it got me thinking: Is the current economic catastrophe a hidden opportunity for the armed forces to increase their ranks somewhat. (Obviously not by 600,000, but some, you know?)
